Plant Care

Cymbidium Orchid

Once the first flower opens the plant can be taken inside.
Water once a week and cut the flower spike no longer than four weeks after the first flower opens.
Full sun throughout most of the year–in summer it is recommended to position them under 50% shade.
Water once/twice a week in winter–in summer, water daily at night (to reduce temperature).
Cymbidiums should be repotted into new mix every two years.

Cattleya Orchid

Cattleyas require about 70% to 80% shade.
Water once a day in the morning in summer, every second day in spring/autumn, and once weekly in winter.
Cattleyas should be repotted into new mix at least every two to three years.

Paphiopedilum Orchid

Paphiopedilum’s will burn if positioned in direct sun–most successfully grown indoors.
Should be slightly moist at all times.
Water three times a week in summer, reducing to every third or fourth day during the winter.

The above notes are only a guide–all growing conditions are subject to change
